Twin Timelines

Part XXI

In the last chapter of Twin Timelines, we addressed how Moses was tasked with teaching the Israelites about the LORD, who had chosen them to be His vessel before the Gentile nations. In that study, the Scriptures provide a vivid account of how Aaron was chosen by God to be the prophet of Moses as they stood before Pharaoh.

"And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet" (Exodus 7:1).

We also saw how Miriam, the sister of Moses, was also a prophet:

"And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels, and with dances" (Exodus 15:20).

In that work, we showed how Paul's leadership of the Spiritual Israelites in Corinth closely resembled the leadership of Moses, as he shepherded the Israelites through a physical locale called the Wilderness of Sin. One of the significant details of the wilderness experience was related to how easily Aaron and Miriam slipped from their ordained roles as prophets associated with Moses, and abruptly began moving in the Spirit of the age.

Since Moses functioned as a Spiritual Shadow, anticipating the Substance of JESUS CHRIST, it is useful to recognize that it was when Moses was up on the holy mountain with the LORD, it was during his absence that the people turned to the ways of the world.

"And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us" (Exodus 32:1).

This corresponds with the era of the Christian church, as Christ is now in the heavenlies, and seated at the right hand of the father. Further, the rebellion on the part of the Corinthians was most pronounced against Paul, when he was absent, as he had moved on from Corinth in his missionary journeys. The resentment of Moses also occurred after Moses came down from the mountain. For instance, in addition to Aaron's complicity in fashioning the golden calf, we also showed how easily he was swayed when Miriam, manifesting the Spirit of Deception, triggered another rebellion, when Moses was present.

"And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses…and they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Hath he not spoken also by us?" (Numbers 12:1, 2).

The reader will recall that we showed how the multiple rebellions of the Israelites against Moses prefigured the divisions within the Corinthian body, and the factions which sought to move against Paul. The authoritative Apostle wrote about others from within the church, who asserted that they also had prophetic gifting, when they attempted to seize the reins of leadership in place of Paul.

"Such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ" (II Corinthians 11:13).

Not only did these events provide a Prophetic Parallel anticipating how the Corinthians so easily strayed from the ways of the LORD, they serve as "types" of the present state of the body of Christ.

In addition to the story of Miriam and Aaron, in another case of rebellion, a group led by individuals named Korah, Dathan, and Abiram gathered hundreds of Israelites to themselves and, claiming that their group was anointed by the LORD to lead the way, challenged Moses and Aaron. The LORD told Moses to give the people the opportunity to choose who they believed should lead. At the end of the day, the fire of the LORD consumed Korah and his company, and thousands died.

"And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all the men that appertained unto them, went down alive into the pit. And the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation" (Numbers 16:32, 33).

Just like Miriam and Aaron saw themselves as prophets fit to lead, this group not only thought that all of their associates had a prophetic anointing (and were holy people), they were confident that there is safety in numbers.

"And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?" (Numbers 16:3).

At this juncture, it's instructive to point out the dissension and division among the Israelites regularly took the form of the people complaining because they had not reached the promised land.

"And the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?" (Exodus 17:3).

"They discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the Lord had given them" (Numbers 32:9).

There are many other verses in which the children of Israel complained that the LORD had not yet kept His promise. It is self evident that the promise that God would give them a land filled with milk and honey, was a prophetic similitude of the glorious promise that Jesus would give us an eternal habitat in the kingdom of God.

"I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey" (Exodus 3:8).

There is another Prophetic Parallel of these Old Covenant events, and it is found centuries ago in European history. When we fast forward from the time of Moses to the middle of the 2nd millennium AD, the Christian church had became impatient that Christ had not yet returned. It is in the middle of the 16th century AD that we find still another Temporal Recapitulation. In this regard, because the believers had falsely been taught that Jesus would set up His kingdom at His 2nd coming, they believed that the LORD had not yet kept His promise.

After centuries of Catholic misbehavior in England, the nation had converted to the Protestant worldview a century earlier. The Christians had been taught the Papacy was the Antichrist, and his wicked reign was thought to be 1,260 years through the day represents a year formula – resulting in a supposed 1,260 years of tribulation seen in Scripture.

"One day is with the Lord as a thousand years" (II Peter 3:8).

Since 1,260 years from the beginning of the Papacy had long since elapsed, and the believers had aggressively turned away from Catholicism in order the study the Scriptures for themselves, by the mid 16th century, the European Christians had been expecting Christ to return for many years.

In other words, just as the Israelites grew weary of not reaching the promised land, and thought a rebellion against Moses might hasten the end of their journey (and their arrival in the promised land), the prophetic expectations of the British Christians were being widely debated, and many Christian prophecy figures were proposing alternative courses of action for the churches. This was a rather precise Prophetic Parallel of the multiple rebellions against Moses which occurred.

In the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries, many prophetically oriented literary figures began to suggest that Christ could not return until the British welcomed the Jews back into their nation.

The Edict of Expulsion, in which the Jews were deported from England, had occurred centuries earlier in 1290 AD. In the wake of the Catholic doctrine that the church had replaced  Israel in God's redemptive plan, some Englishmen began to prophesy that the Jews were the "real" chosen people, and they must be resettled in their ancient homeland (presumably transported to Jerusalem by English naval power), and then they would supposedly mass convert to Christianity.

Ultimately, the banished Jews were allowed to return to England in 1656. In the midst of a tumultuous period of religious and political corruption, a movement begun in 1649 known as the Fifth Monarchy emerged around the idea that a group of devout believers should seize the throne of England, and through pious legislation and social reformation, their actions would hasten the return of Christ.

During the time of the English civil war and a powerful leader named Oliver Cromwell, this Prophetically Paralleled the attempt at an Israelite revolution by the followers of Korah in the Old Testament timeline.

The Fifth Monarchy was a significant movement in the 16th century, but just like the rebellion described in Numbers 16, it ended in the deaths of many of the zealous Protestant leaders. As certain Fifth Monarchy men were pastors, it was an ugly period of history as some were eventually hung, drawn and quartered, and had their decapitated heads placed on spikes in front of the churches they led. What is particularly interesting is the similarity to prophetic streams of thought which are popular to this very day.

The concept of the Fifth Monarchy is related to Daniel 2, where the statue dream of Nebuchadnezzar previews the four Gentile kingdoms of Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome – and then the Fifth kingdom – the kingdom of God -- is prophesied to arrive in the days of these four kingdoms.

"And in the days of these kings, shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed" (Daniel 2:44).

The English prophets saw this kingdom in earthly terms, and they thought the kingdom of God was to be established literally for 1,000 years with the pre-millennial return of Christ. However, they also believed Christ's return had been delayed for 1,260 years because it had been hijacked by Roman Catholicism, and what was perceived as the Antichrist office of the Papacy. Since the Popes had treacherously ruled over the thrones of Europe for well over 1,260 years, and the Protestants had been in charge for some time, the British Christians thought Christ's return was overdue (and imminent).

By the way, the belief system which assigns the 1,260 day period of Revelation 11 to the tribulation cycle (an interpretive approach known as Historicism), is taught to this very day by 7th Day Adventism, as well as certain Protestant denominations. The Fifth Monarchy, which asserted that the church should assert dominion over the earthly world, bears a striking resemblance to the Dominionist movement in our timeline.

In fact, there are some very mystical factors which connect the timeline of the Fifth Monarchy with the present timeline. For instance, the Twin Timelines series is anchored in the present day Prophetic Parallel which connects Ahab and Jezebel (and the subsequent sequence of puppet kings under the sway of Jezebel, after Ahab was removed from power), and Jehu, whom the LORD anointed to finally rid Israel of the malevolent influence of Jezebel.

Much has already been written concerning the present day struggle of Donald Trump, against the massive hidden structure of corruption engineered by Hillary Clinton, thus likening Trump to the Scriptural cycle featuring Jehu. In this regard, we note that in the complex history of Israelite kings, Ahab's father Omri established a new dynasty following the dynastic reigns of Jeroboam, Baasha, and Zimri. This makes the house of Ahab, which was finally overthrown by Jehu, the fourth dynasty.

In other words, Jehuwho foreshadows Donald Trump – established the Fifth Dynasty of the kings of Israel.

And there is more. For decades, Christian Media has asserted the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Prophetically Parallel the four beasts of Daniel 7 (the Lion, Bear, Leopard, and Diverse Beasts representing the empires of England, Russia, Germany, and America); and these four horsemen manifested a Temporal Recapitulation of these four empires, via America's previous four presidents, George HW Bush (the White Horse), Bill Clinton (the Red Horse), George W Bush (the Black Horse), and Barack Obama (the Pale Horse).

During the two terms of Obama, as the nation slid into a hideous downward Spiritual spiral, we repeatedly sought the LORD concerning what would happen after Obama. As the prospect of a Hillary Clinton presidency chilled most believers down to the bone, the miraculous rise of Donald Trump as the equivalent of the "Fifth Horseman," was prophetically seen by very few genuine prophets of the LORD.

One of them, a retired firefighter named Mark Taylor, has been documented as receiving a word from the LORD, all the way back to July 21, 2011, which said that Donald Trump would be the next Commander in Chief of America. In writing, Taylor has clearly stated that as he was watching a movie about the celebrated race horse Secretariat, the LORD repeatedly stated "there's another horse coming."

"The Spirit of God says, There's another one coming, there's another one coming! It's a horse! That's right, a horse!" (The Trump Prophecies, Mark Taylor & Mary Colbert, page 105).

Taylor presumed this prophecy concerned the 2012 election – however, when Barack Obama was elected to his 2nd term in 2012, he thought he had misheard the LORD. Four years later, when Donald Trump announced he was running in the presidential race of 2016, Mark Taylor recounts how God told him the following:

"All of this was supposed to happen in 2012, but My people were not ready" (Trump Prophecies, page 129).

Unfortunately, Mark's circle of influence cannot hear the Twin Timelines prophecies coming out of Christian Media (Romans 11:25), so he was unaware of how the "Script" concerning Jehu and Jezebel also addressed the election. Further, in the midst of the Jehu versus Jezebel pattern, the text tells us a delay in the sequence would occur, because the people weren't ready for the LORD to move in their midst.

"Howbeit, the high places were not taken away; for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers" (II Chronicles 20:33).

When the prophecy which said There's Another Horse Coming was issued, it was a sign tied to the inspiring triple crown winner Secretariat, who had broken just about every horse racing record imaginable, in a stunning, come from behind victory. However, in 2015, another triple crown winner further astonished the world, even as his victory symbolized Trump's miraculous triumph. This horse's name was American Pharaoh.

Running as Horse Number Five, American Pharaoh clearly symbolized the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse, even as his reign would recapitulate the events surrounding the Fifth Monarchy, as well as the Fifth Dynasty of Jehu in the Old Testament timeline!
