Communiqué Twin Timelines
Part XXXIII
The present study has identified specific Spiritual powers, whose influence in the physical realm explains why we see the supernatural phenomenon described as Twin Timelines. In this research, multiple chapters have documented how a triune alignment, originating in the higher realm of heaven, has repeatedly brought about similar sequences in the history of the world. Further, by recognizing the attributes of these factions, we are in a position to anticipate events at various stages of the cycle – largely because we've seen them before.
"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9).
To a certain extent, a complete understanding of various aspects of this supernatural structure remains elusive; however, the process of reducing the true nature of the kingdom of God to a place in which humankind is able to fully absorb every detail, strips the definition of the crucial component of faith, and would elevate man to the position where he is on a level comparable to the LORD.
"And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very [perverse] generation, children in whom is no faith" (Deuteronomy 32:20).
Recognizing that the knowledge of God is granted at His discretion, in fear and in trembling as the understanding is increased, we magnify the LORD.
"O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together" (Psalm 34:3).
In probing the secrets of the Triuniverse, we've learned how the singular God of everything periodically intervenes in a course correction, as He chooses to steer His creation. We have further realized the systemic fashion in which the evil one seeks to thwart the will of the LORD, through the agency of humanity operating in defiance of God's directives. This resistance to the purpose of God takes the form of rebellion – a phenomenon which works against the singular moves of the LORD.
When King Saul was rejected by the LORD because of his disobedience, the prophet Samuel articulated how Saul's defiance was the cause.
"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king" (I Samuel 15:23).
The stubbornness in the heart of Saul became evident when God instructed Israel's first king to utterly destroy the Amalekites, who had attacked and mercilessly killed some of the LORD's people at the Exodus. At the time, they were very vulnerable when they were first leaving Egypt. In one of the harshest directives seen in the Old Testament, the LORD had sternly directed Saul to completely annihilate everything related to Amalek – including their king Agag, his entire tribe, their livestock, and all their possessions.
Unfortunately, the tale tells us that not only did Saul determine to keep some of "the best of the sheep, and of the oxen…and all that was good" (I Samuel 15:9), he sought to deceive the prophet Samuel by telling him he had obeyed the LORD's instructions.
"And Saul said unto [Samuel], Blessed be thou of the Lord: I have performed the commandment of the Lord" (I Samuel 15:13).
The prophet's reaction is almost whimsical, as the LORD had already told him that Saul did not follow God's instructions. Thus, when Saul tried to tell Samuel he had performed all that the LORD had told him to do, Samuel's response is classic:
"What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the [mooing] of the oxen that I hear?" (I Samuel 15:14).
King Saul even tried to con Samuel into believing that they had spared the best of the livestock so they could sacrifice them to the LORD:
"And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed" (I Samuel 15:15).
Notice how Saul tried to spin his statements, by saying "they" (meaning the people) were the ones who spared the livestock (in defiance of the LORD's edict), but then he said that "we" (in obedience to the LORD's edict) destroyed the rest; a definitive indication he realized his sin was exposed.
In this regard, it is self evident that Saul reasoned that a total destruction was unnecessary, and Israel would benefit if he spared the best of Amalek's possessions, so he distributed them to his troops as spoil. Thus, the first stage of Saul's disobedience was related to his stubborn reasoning, which led to the rebellion against God's instructions.
Predictably the prophet was not deceived and, as a direct result of this important episode, God purposed to remove the kingdom from Saul and anoint David as King.
In this revealing account, just as the individual lives of Ahab and Jezebel choreographed the sequence seen in the Old Testament era fate of Samaria and Judaea, the individual lives of Saul and David anticipate the epic transition from the Old Covenant (and the inflexible laws of Moses), to the far more conciliatory New Covenant of JESUS CHRIST.
"[Christ] is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" (Hebrews 8:6).
Many years later, the prophet Nathan referenced the incident which led to Saul's downfall, when King David thought to build a temple for the LORD. Through the prophet, the LORD told David that he would have a descendent who would build the LORD's house – yet the LORD also stated that David's son, who was to build a great house for God, would actually be the LORD's son, as well as the son of David.
"I will be his father, and he shall be my son" (II Samuel 7:14).
Nathan described how a son of David – who would be of the physical "seed" of David as He would literally "proceed out of" David's family lineage – would sit on the throne of Israel forever. It's worth noting there was no Hebrew term for grandson, or great grandson, so the term "son" can refer to a son, many generations later. Moreover, in promising David's son would build the temple to the LORD, the prophecy also referenced the previously cited removal of the throne from Saul to the house of David.
"If [David's Son] commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee" (II Samuel 7:14, 15).
With these amazing prophecies, God indicated the stern rejection of King Saul provided a Prophetic Parallel of the Old Covenant itself, and how Saul's seemingly minor infraction would have consequences which were unseen at the time. In fact, later Scriptures show that Saul's missteps in sparing Agag, the leader of the Amalekites, would have dire repercussions for all of the Israelite people.
Many centuries after the removal of Saul as king, the Jewish descendants of Saul were almost annihilated by Haman the Agagite – a descendant of Agag. Haman was the Grand Vizier of Persia under King Ahasuerus, and he sought to inaugurate the destruction of all the Jews, in a horrendous plot detailed in the book of Esther. In this epic account, Mordecai the Jew becomes aware of the multi-national plan to destroy the Jewish people, and through his secretive relationship with the crypto-Jewess Queen Esther, the plot is discovered at the last moment, and the Amalekite planned genocide was thwarted (see the book Hadassah of Shushan by the present author for the full story, and its Prophetic Parallels).
Thus, even the disobedience of King Saul, in sparing the Amalekites in defiance of the LORD's will, was translated into a great victory in the time of Esther.
"All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren" (Romans 8:28,29).
This thread of thought, which tells us God's omniscience is aware of everything that will occur, is a deep mystery. Another good example of this intersection of the Spiritual realm and the physical world is found in the prophetic texts of Ezekiel, which speak of a great confrontation characterized by the names Gog and Magog, and it is here that we see yet another aspect of the Twin Timelines phenomenon. Unfortunately, Ezekiel's epic visions have been profoundly distorted by the False Prophets of our time.
In the momentous event described by Ezekiel, various Old Testament era names are said to form a sinister military confederation, and this collective attempts to destroy Israel in the latter times.
"And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes" (Ezekiel 38:16).
Spanning two large chapters in Ezekiel, the text describes "many people," who are following Gog – as they launch a massive invasion against "the land of Israel," in which the wrath of God is ignited, so that His intervention in defense of Israel causes the entire world to fear Him.
"In that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel: so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence" (Ezekiel 38:19,20).
When the huge battle is over, the "troops" of Gog and Magog will be buried in a mass grave named after Haman the Agagite.
"I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel…and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog" (Ezekiel 39:11).
As a young believer, I was quickly indoctrinated into the faulty literalist prophetic worldview disseminated by the Rapture Cult. The identity of Gog was (and is) widely taught to apply to the modern day state of Russia, with "Gog's" confederates largely Islamic nations, who will supposedly launch a devastating war against the modern state of Israel. This Jewish Supremacist scenario – regardless of a pre or post Tribulational "Rapture" component – erroneously presents the contemporary state as the Israel repeatedly referenced in prophetic passages of the Bible.
A clever counterfeit of what the Scriptures actually teach, the theological system that reduces these prophecies to a literal series of physical events sidesteps a discerning analysis through a dialectically generated conflict between several Rapture oriented views – mostly between those espousing a pre-tribulation Rapture and a post-tribulation Rapture. This effectively obscures recognition of the hidden flaw in the system, which is related to identity, as opposed to timing.
The fact is, the identity of Israel under the New Covenant is conclusively established in the New Testament as the body of Christ – which makes Israel a Spiritual entity – instead of a resurrected version of the ancient nation comprised of flesh and blood people, who still overwhelmingly reject Jesus as the long prophesied Christ.
The book of Romans pointedly tells us that those who consider themselves to be Jews, based upon the Covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, are now in deep error -- as the only Jew is a person who has been circumcised in their heart.
"Behold, that art called a Jew [but] the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you…For he is not a Jew…which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly…now the righteousness of God without the [Old Testament] law is manifested…Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe" (Romans 2:17, 24, 28, 29; 3:21,22).
Jeremiah tells us that physical Israel was the unfaithful wife of YHWH, and the LORD divorced her – even as He betrothed His son to the bride of Christ – which is born again Israel.
"And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I…put her away, and [gave] her a bill of divorce" (Jeremiah 3:8).
Since many such prophecies establish Israel as a Spiritual body comprised of believers in Christ, the prophecies of Gog and Magog which allegedly attack "Israel" in the latter days cannot be referring to a literal, physical confederation of nations. In fact, when we recognize that Ezekiel's astonishing prophecies of Gog and Magog reference Spiritual entities which resist the redemptive work of JESUS in an internal sense, the awkward attempt to explain away physically impossible aspects of these verses disappear.
For example, when the demonic hordes which seek to move against the Israel described in Ezekiel are destroyed, the Scriptures tell us every fish in every sea, and every bird in the heavens (and even all the animals around the world) will shake because of the LORD.
"And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground" (Ezekiel 38:20).
Yet the passage tells us that after this great shaking from the LORD, there will be "passengers that pass through the land" (Ezekiel 39:15). How can anything such as organized travel (as indicated in the term "passengers") continue, if the very mountains of the world fall down? The truth is, just like many other books utilizing Prophetic Metaphor, the language is exceedingly poetic, as the Lord says that every bird, and every earthly beast is invited to come and feast on the flesh and blood of the destroyed "invaders."
"And thou son of man…speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves…to my sacrifice…even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel…Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth….Thus shall ye be filled at my table with horses and chariots" (Ezekiel 39:17).
Since all the mountains were "thrown down" at the battle (to say nothing of "every wall" falling to the ground), how could every bird (and every beast) come to this feast on the "mountains of Israel?" Indeed, since the wildlife is said to drink the blood of "the princes of the earth," isn't it implausible that princes from around the world would show up to enlist in Russia's military, just so they could invade the tiny country?
God says that as a result of the incredible things described in this sequence, when He intervenes to save Israel, these astonishing events will glorify Him.
"It shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God" (Ezekiel 39:13).
When JESUS CHRIST'S earthly ministry was completed, He prayed to the Father requesting He be received back into heaven, in glory.
"These words spake JESUS, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was" (John 17:1, 4, 5).
When the LORD of glory came to the earth from His heavenly abode, the devils which had oppressed the physical world for millennia were angry, as they realized they were about to be deposed from the earthly dominion they had malevolently seized.
"And I heard a loud voice…woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" (Revelation 12:10,12).
The chapters in Ezekiel immediately preceding the Gog and Magog Spiritual "war in heaven," in which the devils fought against the Lord's intervention, tell us that God was about to install a New Covenant, with which He would save Israel.
"It shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and…My tabernacle also shall be with them…And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore" (Ezekiel 37:27,28).
Because of Christ's stupendous victory at the cross, the LORD's presence is now within us, and we are His temple. Moreover, at the conclusion of the supposed modern military attack on the reprobate nation which rejected Christ so long ago, not only does the prophet state that God will stand face to face with humankind to introduce Himself to those who were to welcome Him – He clearly states He is about to pour out His Spirit upon those who receive Him.
"Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God" (Ezekiel 39:29). ----- James Lloyd
