The Occult Roots of

The Rapture Cult – Part XII

 

 

 

 

 

After the leader of the Hebrew center in Northern Judaea – Rabbi Akiva Ben Joseph -- embraced Bar Kochba as the Saviour of Israel in 135 AD, the Romans moved decisively to crush what was left of the Jews once and for all. The militant forces, after an initial victory against a smaller Roman force, were overwhelmingly destroyed. The Romans, recognizing Rabbi Akiva as the source of the theological justification for yet another rebellion, tortured and executed him.

 

The Caesar at the time sought to erase Judaea from memory, by renaming the nation Aelia Capitolina. He further outlawed any Jews from even living in the former Jewish land.

 

The manuscripts which had been distributed for decades by Rabbi Akiva's predecessor Johannan Ben Zakkai, were scattered all around the ancient Near East, and must have included many of the pseudepigraphical writings. These would include the forged Hebrew version of the Gospel of Matthew known as Shem Tov, the Toledoth Yeshu which depicted Jesus as a sorcerer who was hanged, and an unknown number of Jewish Kabbalistic writings (such as the Zohar), as well as assorted Gnostic writings.

 

A large wave of Hebrew scholarship did not emerge again until the 7^th century AD with the Masoretes, an intense group who labored for the next 300 years in collecting, studying, copying, and publishing what became known as the Masoretic Text. These Hebrew scrolls of the Old Testament already carried much earlier editorial corruptions from the time of Johannan Ben Zakkai, as we already noted how the Jabneh based Jewish scholars sought to spin the Messianic prophecies to disconnect them from their fulfillment in Jesus. However, the reputation of the Masoretes for excellent scholarship, despite Jewish bias against Old Testament prophecies fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth, ensured the Masoretic text was considered trustworthy by many.

 

The Masoretic texts of the Hebrew Old Testament, which had been significantly massaged much earlier by the scholars at Jabneh, were distributed throughout Europe. Recognizing the Jabneh school followed the false Messiah Bar Kochba, the conclusion that Johannan Ben Zakkai and his successor Rabbi Akiva were enormously deceived is self-evident, so the conclusion that their literary work was dishonest is inescapable. Further, their hostility towards Jesus of Nazareth would have been extreme.

 

Thus, the Old Testament manuscripts handed down to the Masoretes would have to be considered untrustworthy. It was during the later stages of the Jewish Masoretes (in the 10^th century AD) the apostate documents such as the Toledoth Yeshu and the Shem Tov "Matthew" periodically resurfaced – obviously clandestinely, as Jews were logically blamed for Antichristian materials printed in Hebrew.

 

It's worth reminding the reader the Toledoth Yeshu portrays Jesus as a lecherous sorcerer, and a scoundrel who led a band of brigands that sought to fake his resurrection.

 

With over 100 manuscript variants in multiple dialects derived from a Hebrew original, this hideous attack on the truth of Jesus Christ is clearly the ongoing product of Jewish factions which circulated the slander in their respective language. Although we frequently hear about how Jews were mistreated over the centuries, the dozens of mass expulsions of Jewish populations from numerous European cities and states is surely related.

 

In addition to being kicked out of France in 1182, England in 1290, Saxony in 1349, and Hungary, Belgium, Austria, and the Netherlands in succeeding years, there are dozens of other European nations who were stirred up enough to issue edicts of banishment. Of particular interest is the Jewish expulsion from Spain, as mainstream scholarship has traced the blasphemous Shem Tov document to the Jewish author Shem Tov Ben Isaac Shaprut of Tudela Spain. I'll again note the Hebrew language Shem Tov forgery of "Matthew" incorporates elements from the hideous Toledoth Yeshu.

 

With the Guttenberg Press invented in the mid 15^th century, the Culting of Christianity was firmly entrenched as an inexorable process begun in the days of Christ's earthly sojourn. Although almost all Protestant Bibles utilize the Masoretic Text we addressed in Part XI, the stellar team of scholars assembled by King James in England only trusted the Masoretic Text to a point. In a series of extraordinarily prescient steps, they knew the Jews had tampered with the Old Testament text in areas which were designed to disconnect them from their fulfillment by Jesus of Nazareth.

 

Unfortunately, even as the King James Version was being distributed, most of the notes kept by the British translation teams describing their discussions on the subject were lost in a tragic fire. However, we have numerous statements from Christians from the period, who were familiar with the facts. For example, William Whiston (1667-1752), the highly esteemed scientist, mathematician, astronomer, scientist, and linguist who also translated the entire works of Flavius Josephus, wrote the following:

 

"The Jews have introduced into their Hebrew copies a gross and a groundless alteration into the XXII Psalm, which is one of the most eminent prophecies concerning the Sufferings and Passion of the Messiah, that is in all the Old Testament…."

 

"…the occasion of this change of the text, by the unbelieving Jews is obvious to all; because it foretold that piercing the hands and the feet of Jesus of Nazareth, when their forefathers caused him to be nailed to the cross, which they had no mind people should reflect on" (An Essay Towards Restoring the True Text of the Old Testament, William Whiston, 1722, page 78). 

 

Whiston 's study indicated this was only one case of many, many changes in the Hebrew Old Testament, which occurred "about the beginning of the 2^nd century" (Memoirs of the life and writing of Mr. William Whiston, published 1749, page 308). As Johannan Ben Zakkai and the Jewish center at Jabneh were the custodians of the Hebrew text at that time, the truth is glaringly embarrassing. Thus, whenever the English translators working on the King James Version of the Scriptures came upon an Old Testament Messianic prophecy in the Masoretic text, they compared it to the pre-Christian era Greek Septuagint version of the Old Testament, which was produced before the time of Christ.

 

Although the KJV and the Textus Receptus are routinely disparaged by moderns, the record shows the foresight in old England was clearly outstanding. For instance, when the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947, and comparisons were made between Scriptural references and the Masoretic text, significant differences were uncovered.

 

"The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran, dating from 150 BC – 75 AD, shows that in this period there was not always the scrupulous uniformity of text that was so stressed in later centuries. According to [Jewish scholar] Menachem Cohen, the Dead Sea scrolls decided these issues by showing that there was indeed a Hebrew text-type on which the Septuagint-translation was based and which differed substantially from the received Masoretic Text'" (Wikipedia, Masoretic Text).  

 

Reading between the lines, "not always the scrupulous uniformity" is scholar-speak for the discovery that someone tampered with the Hebrew text a long time ago, as the ancient documents closely resemble the Septuagint – the Greek version relied upon by the King James translation team, centuries before their actions were vindicated by archaeology.

 

After England (and the rest of the world) was exceedingly blessed for persevering and publishing the truth in the Holy Bible, the Greek version of the New Testament known as the Textus Receptus used by the King James Version found itself under another withering assault. In an earlier chapter, we showed how the Gnostics profoundly influenced the manuscripts through the Egyptian channel of scholarship.

 

Clement of Alexandria, who used the Sethian Gospel of the Egyptians side by side with the four Gospels, and his protégé Origen who wanted to discard the book of Revelation in favor of an Occult writing, were significant figures in the Egyptian produced copies of the Scriptures. The two corrupted manuscripts (Vaticanus and Sinaiticus) which compete with the Syrian manuscripts were moved forward, and the Textus Receptus was pushed aside. 

 

Two English scholars named Fenton Hort and Brooke Westcott, chose to produce a new Greek version of the Bible using Vaticanus and Sinaiticus in 1881. Hort and Westcott did not believe the Bible is the Word of God and, in fact, did not even believe Moses and David ever existed. They were both Occultists, who believed in the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. They were also co-founders of a mysterious group called The Ghostly Guild – an entity steeped in the Occultism spreading through Europe in the 19^th century. These facts provide evidence that Gnostic doctrine profoundly penetrated the organized church. 

 

The Hort and Westcott Greek translation replaced the Textus Receptus as the standard version from which all contemporary Bibles were translated, so their Satanic input has been received in every translation except the King James Version. 

 

What is particularly intriguing is how we're describing a systemic influence which transcends generations, ethnicity, nations, and languages. For instance, the modern versions of the Bible, which are all based upon the Greek channeled through Hort and Wescott, exhibit subtle links to the Sethian Gnostic books, as well as the pseudepigraphical "Christian" writings. In Parts 6, 7, and 8, we showed how certain transliterated words and concepts found in the Gnostic writings worked their way into early Christian commentaries – yet they were not found in the Textus Receptus/KJV New Testament.

 

To restate the case, we found the Gnostics predicted the end times would be characterized by "confusion" and, although the New Testament never used that word in the context of prophecy, the "Christian" leaders also spoke of the coming confusion, thereby linking their output with the Occult:

 

"For all the saints and elect of God are gathered…lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins" (On The Last Times, the Anti-Christ, and the End of the World: A Sermon by Pseudo-Ephraem).

 

The same description, telling of a time of great confusion, is found in the Gnostic documents telling us the god Seth will come to Rapture his followers, to rescue them from the confusion:

 

"There was a great disturbance in the whole earthly area with confusion and flight, as well as (in) the plan of the archons" (The Second Treatise Of The Great Seth, Nag Hammadi Library, page 364).

 

The forger masquerading as Ephraem the Syrian, the Christian pastor who supposedly taught the pre-trib Rapture, repeatedly characterizes the end of the age as a time of great confusion:

 

"Why therefore do we not reject every care of earthly actions and prepare ourselves for the meeting of the Lord Christ, so that He may draw us from the confusion which overwhelms the world?" (Section 2, Pseudo-Ephraem, or P/E).

 

Likewise, the Egyptian version of the son of God, who is Seth -- the Occult figure who taught about the pre-tribulation Rapture -- also tells us about the coming confusion:

 

 "And there came about a disturbance, and a fight around the Seraphim and Cherubim, since their glory will fade, and the confusion around Adonaios…" (ibid, page 365).

 

Incredibly, the genuine New Testament documents, transmitted through the Textus Receptus (and the King James Version in English), never likens the end times, nor the tribulation to confusion. However, the abominable Hort and Westcott Greek version, drawn from the Egyptian/Sethian influenced manuscripts, ends up mentioning this confusion in modern Bibles, in connection with the end times:

 

"There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars. And there will be distress on earth among the nations that are confused by the roaring of the sea and the waves" (New Revised Standard NRSV, New King James Version NKJV, Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible, ISV, etc).

 

Similar usage of the English word confused occurs in the parallel in Luke 21:25, and even in Galatians where Paul writes of an enemy that was throwing the Greeks into confusion. In that instance, "confusion" again occurs in the Catholic influenced Revised Standard Version, but not in the KJV.

 

It's the same story with the English transliterated word consummation. The Occult Gnostic books with Seth as Saviour, repeatedly speak of the consummation.

 

"The final consummation of all things will take place when all that is spiritual has been formed and perfected by gnosis" (quote from Valentinus the Gnostic heretic, refuted in Irenaeus, Against Heresies, essay on Valentinianism, emphasis mine).

 

The Textus Receptus and the KJV of the New Testament never uses "consummation," but the Spirit of the Age comes through the Hort and Westcott Greek used with the Vaticanus/Sinaiticus Gnostic influenced manuscripts, and consummation shows up in many modern translations. A good example is in the Alexandrian version of the book of Hebrews, where the writer is telling how Christ did not make a yearly sacrifice like the priests of the Old Covenant:

 

"…but now once at the consummation he has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself" (Hebrews 9:26 in the New American Standard, the Catholic Bible drawn from the Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus, and the Rapture Cult bible called the Darby Translation, etc).

 

Just like the Satanic Sethian documents, the Catholic Douay-Rheims repeatedly uses consummation -- thus strengthening the connection between Jesus and Seth. For example, Matthew 29:20 has Jesus saying

 

"Behold I am with you always, even to the consummation of the world" (Matthew 20:20, Catholic Douay-Rheims Bible which also uses consummation in Matthew 24:14, Luke 13:33, and John 19:30).

 

Once again, we'll note that it's not just Catholicism that was leavened through these Satanic manuscripts, as virtually every one of the contemporary Protestant Bibles uses the Greek from the wicked mystics Hort and Westcott. The evil duo's linguistic allegiance to the Roman Catholic Church, as well as their involvement in the Spiritist group the Ghostly Guild, is a matter of record. Although the connections down through the ages are tenuous, stretching for centuries over nations, languages, and religious traditions, the common denominator that stitches together this millennia long march to apostasy is the Spirit of Antichrist, the hidden power behind the Culting of Christianity.
