THE COVENANT WITH DEATH

Part III

As we have shown repeatedly, the Spiritual body of Christ is just that – a Spiritual body – that is joined together because all its members have been born again. Thus, the "body" of Christ is a Spiritual construct, with a curious relationship to Israel.

"Ye also…are built up a Spiritual house" (I Peter 2:5).

Obviously, since Christ's ministry was initially directed to the house of Israel – later adding Gentiles to the body of believers that is Spiritually constituted – there is a very special relationship to Israel.

"All these things happened unto [Israel] for examples: and they are written for our admonition" (I Corinthians 10:11).

Perhaps the central revelation that Christian Media has received is how the "principalities and powers" (Ephesians 3:10), which are not limited by a Flesh and Blood earthly lifespan, have been seen to repeat the same chronological steps in later generations.

For those unaware of this supernatural phenomenon, Old Testament prophecies can be somewhat confusing, as the prophets frequently viewed sequences that were to be repeated, but they saw aspects of these "Scripts" that were drawn from multiple timelines. Because the prophets could "see through a glass darkly" (I Corinthians 13:12), it is quite unlikely they made the connection between differing timelines.

For example, when the prophet Daniel saw the "great horn" of the kingdom in Daniel 8 opposing the "two horns" of the "kings of Media and Persia," it is certain that Daniel did understand the angel that was dispatched to "make this man understand the vision" (Daniel 8:16).

The angel specifically told Daniel the "great horn…is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king" (Daniel 8:21).

The ensuing military campaign of the great horn has "the great horn…broken" (Daniel 8:8), and succeeded by "four kingdoms" (Daniel 8:22).

This vision occurred in the third year of Belshazzar, the Babylonian grandson of Nebuchadnezzer. Since Daniel was present when the Persian Union took Babylon, and Daniel knew the dual kingdom of the Medes and the Persians would succeed Babylon from the earlier prophetic "statue" dream of Nebuchadnezzar, it is virtually certain Daniel knew that "the king of Grecia" (Daniel 8:21) would eventually conquer the Persian Union.

He also knew a kingdom imaged by "iron" would succeed Greece, so he understood the four kingdoms referenced in Daniel's second chapter. However, the text indicates he was quite disturbed by the vision of the four kingdoms he wrote about in Daniel 7. 

"I saw in my vision…and four great beasts came up from the sea…the first was like a lion and…a second like to a bear…and lo another, like a leopard…and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible" (Daniel 7:2-7).

Daniel's perplexity is recorded in the text:

"I Daniel was grieved in my spirit…and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this" (Daniel 7:15,16).

Daniel could see there were similarities in the twin prophecies of four kingdoms, but there were aspects of the Lion, Bear, Leopard, and Diverse Beast kingdoms that were decidedly foreign to him as they imaged much more contemporary kingdoms. 

The Christian Medians know the LORD has revealed how the four kingdoms of chapter 7 – the Lion, Bear, Leopard, and Diverse fourth beast, have been revealed as Christian era empires – the Lion is the British Commonwealth, the Bear  the Soviet Union. The Leopard is Nazi Germany and the Diverse Beast is America.

What is even more profound is the fact that the empires described were shaped by the "principalities and powers" in the Spiritual realm. We recognize this because of the Prophetic Parallels that each kingdom manifests.

The British Commonwealth exhibits the same attributes as ancient Babylon, and the Soviet Union has striking similarities to the Persian Union. Hitler's Third Reich was shaped by the same Spiritual powers that configured Alexander the Great's Grecian territorial conquests – and the Prophetic Parallels of the American Empire to the Roman Empire are legendary.

All of these kingdoms, in both the BC and AD eras, were comprised of Gentile powers. This revelation is scrupulously resisted as the "rulers of the darkness of this world" (Ephesians 6:12) do not want the Spiritually regenerated in Christ to factor the phenomenon of Sequential Recapitulation into their thinking, because the kingdom of Israel is also "doubled" in the Spiritual realm.

As we have emphatically trumpeted to this generation, the primary Spiritual deception in our time is manifested in the Rapture Cult, and the "Spiritual Wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12) has invested many years to engender the "Strong Delusion" that is prophesied to occur.

Just as we have received the knowledge of the Spiritual "Doubling" of the Gentile kingdoms in Scripture, we are led to the inescapable conclusion that the Spiritual kingdom of Israel Prophetically Parallels the epic events in the original kingdom of Flesh and Blood Israel.

Thus we return to the signature prophecy this series is focused on, and that is the lies that deceived Old Covenant Israel. One might ask if there is any doctrinal characteristic that has emerged in Christianity wherein the leaders of "Spiritual" Jerusalem, which Scripture tells us is the body of Christ, now teach that they will not be affected by the much feared tribulation.

"Ye have said…when the [tribulation] shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge" (Isaiah 28:15).

Isaiah elaborates on how the "scornful men" that rule the doubled kingdom of [New] Jerusalem have erroneously concluded the lie of the Rapture Cult using Scripture. 

"The word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept: line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken" (Isaiah 28:13). 

Isaiah's use of the word "snare" is particularly significant, for he says the "word of the Lord" (the "precept upon precept" and the "line upon line") was "unto them" a snare!

This certainly evokes the memory of the New Testament verse which says that God will send a "snare" upon all those who dwell on the earth.

"For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth" (Luke 21:35).

I trust the reader noticed that Isaiah's reference of "precept upon precept, precept upon precept" is a classic example of TwiceSpeak, where the Lord utilizes the doubling of key phrases as a mystical example to Spiritually emphasize a message. Obviously, the present series speaks of Sequential Recapitulation (Doubling) as a supernatural phenomenon to help us understand how the Spirit impacts the creation consisting of the "two parts" of Flesh and Blood.

TwiceSpeak is where the words are doubled in Scripture as a subtle inflection of the concept of the two parts that are cut off and die – clearly a negative connotation. 

"And it shall come to pass, that in all the land saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein" (Zechariah 13:8).

There are dozens and dozens of examples of TwiceSpeak, such as "Saul, Saul" (Acts 9:4), "Simon, Simon" (Luke 22:31), "Unclean, unclean" (Leviticus 13:45), and "Jerusalem, Jerusalem" (Matthew 23:37), etc, which demonstrate this mystical principal.  

We have consistently focused on how It Is The LORD Himself who sends the Strong Delusion:

"For this cause God shall send them Strong Delusion, that they should believe a lie…because they received not the love of the truth" (II Thessalonians 2:11,10).

In the passage about the Covenant with Death, Isaiah said essentially the same thing.

"To whom [the Lord] said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear" (Isaiah 28:12).

There are additional links to the huge misunderstanding by the Rapture Cult in our time. In this context, we note the truth that the "millennial" reign of Christ is indeed in the Spiritual realm, via the AD Christian era of the last two millennia. The Lord has revealed that Isaiah's prophecy of the Cult That Kidnapped Christianity points us to another Double where the Flesh and Blood history of Israel was Sequentially Recapitulated in the Spiritual realm.

"And I saw thrones…and the souls of [Christians]…and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (Revelation 20:4).

In that same passage, Isaiah references the "strange work" the Lord will do.

"For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act" (Isaiah 28:21).

In the conquest of Canaan under Joshua, Gibeon was a great city which made peace with Joshua, so all the kings of the Amorites massed their forces against Gibeon and Israel.

"Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachich, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it" (Joshua 10:5).

Joshua and the Israelites fought against the combined forces, and a fierce battle ensued as the LORD gave Israel a spectacular victory.

"And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon" (Joshua 10:10).

As the battle went in Israel's favor, Joshua and company chased the residue of the fleeing Amorites, but the sun was going down, and it was here in the valley of Gibeon that the Lord granted Israel a seemingly impossible request, as Joshua miraculously extended the day into two days, to complete the battle. 

"Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon…So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it" (Joshua 10:12-14).

The Scriptures tell us that a day with the LORD is as a thousand years.

"Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as on day" (II Peter 3:8).

Thus, as we have learned that Spiritual Israel – which is the body of Christ – Sequentially Recapitulates the history of Physical Israel, the "strange work" which the LORD performs turns out to be two thousand years as the Spiritually generated "millennial" reign of Jesus Christ.
